First Hotel Grand – A Classic Hotel Experience in the Heart of Odense

First Hotel Grand is Odense’s iconic city hotel from 1897, located on the high streetthe vibrant city life meets historic charm and modern conveniences. Just 500 meters from the hotel, you will find both the train and bus terminal, as well as attractions for the whole family. Experience the new H.C. Andersen House and explore the old quarters.

The hotel is dividedtwo unique buildings. The historic main building from 1897 exudes romantic charm and elegance with its national romantic style, while the modernist wing, built in the 1950s, reflects the design traditions of the time. Here, we offer a timeless Scandinavian style with clean lines and functional solutions, characteristic of mid-20th-century Danish design.

At First Hotel Grand, you will find the seafood restaurant “Grand’s Fiskerestaurant” and Grand Bar. Here you can indulge your taste buds and relax with a well-shaken cocktail. Start your day in the restaurant and enjoy the large and well-prepared breakfast buffet. The hotel also features a Salon, Lounge, fitness center, two large halls, and several smaller meeting rooms, perfect for conferences, parties, concerts, and other enjoyable events.

We offer 8 different room categories, ranging from standard single rooms to Junior Suites across 135 rooms.

All rooms are individually decorated and vary in size and style.

For parking during your stay at the hotel, we refer to the many public parking spaces around the hotel and in the parking garage behind the hotel at Store Gråbrødrestræde 12.

Please note that due to the age of the historic buildings, they are not accessible for guests with mobility impairments. First Hotel Grand also does not offer accessible toilet facilities.

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 11:00.

Cleaning with respect for the environment. To reduce our environmental impact, The Grand Hotel no longer offers automatic cleaning for guests staying more than one night.
If you require cleaning during your stay, we are happy to offer this service at no extra cost, which can be arranged at the reception before 11:00 PM the day before.

Standard Single Room. These rooms are a good base for business travelers staying 1-3 nights. The individually decorated bathrooms have either a bathtub or a walk-in shower ;
Standard Double Room. These rooms are the best choice if you are traveling on a weekend getaway or on a business trip staying more than 2 nights. Our standard rooms are individually furnished with a desk and chair. Seating in 1-2 armchairs or a sofa, bathroom with either a bath or walk-in shower. ;
Superior Double Room. Enjoy a stay in one of our stylishly furnished superior rooms. These rooms invite you to relax in a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Our superior rooms are individually furnished with a desk and comfortable seating for 2 people in either a sofa or armchairs and a bathroom with either a bathtub or walk- in shower. The price includes a selection of refreshments consisting of bottled water, soft drinks, beer, espresso, and snacks. The products offered may vary and are serviced daily. ;
Standard Queen Room. These rooms are the ideal choice for the modern traveler staying 1-2 nights. The rooms, which are individually furnished, offer a small desk and an armchair and a bathroom with either a tub or a walk-in shower ;
Standard Twin Room. These rooms are the best choice if you are traveling on a weekend getaway or on a business trip staying more than 2 nights. Our standard rooms are individually furnished with a desk and chair. Seating in 1-2 armchairs or a sofa, bathroom with either a bath or walk-in shower. ;
Executive Double Room. If you appreciate stylish and spacious rooms when you travel, then the Executive rooms are the right choice. Our executive rooms are individually furnished with a desk and comfortable seating for 2 people in either a sofa or armchairs. These rooms are only available with bathtubs. These rooms are incredibly comfortable, and if you are traveling with children, the Executive rooms are the ideal base for you and your family. The price includes a selection of refreshments consisting of bottled water, soda, beer, espresso, and snacks. The products offered may vary and are replenished daily. ;
